As founder of the American Cinema Editors Education Committee, I've been helping launch the ACE Editing Experience, which offers college students exclusive raw footage from Netflix shows for use in their editing classes. The kick-off began at this year's University Film & Video Association conference in Prairie View, TX, where I coordinated our efforts to get the word out to university professors and administrators.

Marriage Cops, the feature documentary that I edited with Shashwati Talukdar, had its World Premiere at HotDocs on April 27. This extraordinary documentary is an intimate look at a group of female police officers mediating troubled marriages in northern India, and it never fails to surprise. It gives a rare and fascinating look at the evolving landscape of gender relations in India, where rhighly patriarchal traditions exist alongside some of the most progressive policies in
