Marriage Cops, the feature documentary that I edited with Shashwati Talukdar, had its World Premiere at HotDocs on April 27. This extraordinary documentary is an intimate look at a group of female police officers mediating troubled marriages in northern India, and it never fails to surprise. It gives a rare and fascinating look at the evolving landscape of gender relations in India, where restrictive and highly patriarchal traditions exist alongside some of the most progressive policies in the developing world.

The film was immediately picked up for international film sales by MetFilm, so I expect it will be coming to a theater or streamer sometime in the next year.
